The Lease Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of lease accounting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams. This is a short term engagement mainly focused on reviewing lease contracts to decide if they need to be capitalized and if so, build out the depreciation model. Lease Accounting: Manage the end-to-end lease accounting process, including lease classification, recognition, measurement, and disclosure in accordance with ASC 842 and other relevant accounting standards.Lease Administration: Maintain accurate lease data, including lease agreements, amendments, and critical dates. Ensure timely and accurate lease payments and reconciliation of lease-related accounts.Financial Reporting: Prepare and review lease-related financial statements, disclosures, and footnotes for internal and external reporting purposes.Compliance: Stay current with changes in lease accounting standards and regulations. Ensure compliance with lease accounting policies and procedures.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline lease accounting processes, improve efficiency, and enhance internal controls.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including real estate, legal, finance, and operations, to support lease negotiations, lease renewals, and lease terminations.Audits: Coordinate and support internal and external audits related to lease accounting. Provide documentation and explanations as needed.
